About the Congress

The ASEAN insurance industry stands at a pivotal moment, confronted by an array of challenges that span the social, economic, environmental, geopolitical, and technological realms. As we face these disruptions, our goal is not to be immobilized but to advance with resilience and innovation.

The ASEAN Insurance Congress was initiated by The ASEAN Insurance Council with the intention to attract insurance practitioners / leaders to participate in a regional forum for them to establish broader regional perspectives. It was decided by AIEC (ASEAN Insurance Education Committee) that this congress will be held every two years. This congress will be an avenue for the insurance leaders from all parts of ASEAN and neighbouring countries to meet biennially.

Current and relevant issues pertaining to the regional insurance industry are discussed from international and local perspectives. High level speakers are invited to share their knowledge, information and views with the delegates.

The 14th ASEAN Insurance Congress (AIC) will be held on 25th November 2024 in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. This esteemed event will bring together key stakeholders from across the industry to tackle these pressing issues head-on. With the support of regulators, we will explore strategies to foster a sustainable future in insurance, aligning with the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. This vision calls for the ASEAN insurance sector to be forward-looking, action-oriented, and adaptable to change.

Delegates will have the opportunity to meet key industry leaders who are the Heads of Regulators, Presidents of Associations, CXOs/CEOs, Board members, industry professionals and others within the insurance ecosystem.

At this Congress, we will focus on fostering an insurance industry that is enterprising, nimble, and inclusive. We are committed to developing solutions that not only address current challenges but also pave the way for a dynamic and sustainable future.
