AIC Sub-Committees

To assist its efforts in achieving the objectives, the Council operates through six Sub-Committees established as part of its main operations.

AIC has six main Sub-Committees that serve a particular purpose in driving the regional insurance agenda forward.

COB

Implementing Protocol 5 on the ASEAN compulsory motor vehicle insurance scheme under AFAFGIT.

ANDREWS

Researching earthquakes, typhoons, tsunamis, and other natural disasters endemic to the ASEAN region.

AIEC

Developing and administering the ASEAN Professional Insurance Diploma (APID) across the region.

ARWC

Proposing reinsurance regulations and expanding the ASEAN Renewable Energy Pool (AREP).

ATRWC

Established 2022, fostering Islamic insurance and retakaful collaboration across ASEAN.

AHMIC

Addressing medical inflation, fraud, and digitalization in ASEAN health insurance.
